About Liz

Based in San Diego County, Liz Holakiewicz, RN, BSN, CCM, CNLCP provides individualized life care plans and cost projections for the disabled or catastrophically injured.  Liz provides expert witness services when needed.

    As a certified case manager for a private case management company and her own independent practice, Liz has coordinated medical treatment by collaborating with physicians, therapists, counselors, insurance companies, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, community agencies and attorneys to facilitate quality care for individuals who have sustained life changing injuries.

    Liz has published a number of articles, the most recent of which was for the Journal of Legal Nurse consulting on the topic of life care planning in the vaccine injury compensation arena.

    Liz was awarded a patient advocacy award by her case management peers in 1994.

    Liz is actively involved in her profession through membership in a variety of professional nursing organizations. She has presented at national and local meetings on the topic of life care planning. She served on the Certification Board for the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners from its inception in 2001. Liz also participated in meetings of the American Board of Nursing Specialties as a liaison for her certification board position. She is currently the President Elect for the San Diego Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.
